Swim Across America Atlanta is an open water charity swim event on Saturday, September 21st at Lake Lanier Olympic Park. This event raises money for pediatric cancer research conducted at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (click here to see the specific doctors/research being funded this year). There are Olympians and many college teams along with swimmers of all ages that participate in this event. SAA Atlanta offers several distance options and many opportunities to volunteer as an individual or team on land or on water If you are a student in need of volunteer hours, SAA Atlanta will sign off on volunteer credit.
